Family pics & more

We got our family pictures taken over thanksgiving. Here are a couple of them. I think they that they turned out okay, of course she wouldn't smile, but as long as she wasn't screaming I was fine with that!

Aaron's family came to stay with us for a night, it was so good to see them! Ally had a really good time with them and their kids. She loved Jaiden their little boy, she wanted to do whatever he was doing. He was watching cartoons and Ally wanted to sit on his lap, that didn't quite go over well with him, so I set her next to him, she was so happy and got the biggest smile on her face, she had so much fun, we are so happy that they came to visit!

I was trying to do the dishes while ally was playing, she came over by the dishwasher and started saying mmmm... mmmm..., I looked down to see her dipping her finger into some old ranch dressing on a plate in the dishwasher, gross huh!! I decided not to get mad and to take a picture instead.

Ally's Finally Walking!!!!

I broke down and took Ally trick or treating on Halloween. She actually loved it, the candy that is! She started eating candy about 5:00 and continued until she went to bed around 10:00. I think that is what gave her the confidence she needed to start walking. She had a ton of energy! She was on a sugar high! She was so cute walking everywhere. We knew she could do it, it was only a matter of time. She is getting to be such a big girl, where did my baby go?!!

Reese's cookies

I made these cookies the other night. I thought that they were really good, so I decided to share the recipe!

1 chocolate cake mix
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 bag small reese's cups ( I used regular resse's cut into 4ths)

Mix together cake mix, eggs, and oil until cake mix is absorbed. Place peanut butter cups in the center of a ball of the dough, make sure that the reese's is completely covered by the dough. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes, or until done.

Our new favorite thing!

We were introduced to a new yummy treat! It is so good that I feel like I have to share it with everyone! It is a creamy buttery syrup. Our family isn't that fond of pancakes, but after we had this syrup, it is our new favorite thing, thanks to Aaron's cousin Tash. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing this wonderful recipe! We even had it for dinner tonight, that is how much we love it! Here are some pics!

Now it isn't very figure friendly, but I rationalize that by making krusteaz honey wheat pancakes. They are actually really good for you! So here is the recipe.

1 cup Sugar

1/4 cup Karo syrup

1/2 cup buttermilk (or regular milk with 1/2 Tablespoon lemon juice)

1/2 cup butter

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp vanilla

Boil for 5 minutes

Pretty Princess

We dressed Ally up for the ward Halloween party. She was a pretty princess! She didn't mind getting dressed up, she actually had a lot of fun. We didn't stay for the trunk or treat, she isn't old enough for that yet, thank goodness! Next year it will probably be different though.

I should have taken more pictures of her earlier in the day, because by the time we got home she wasn't in the mood for them!

Baby Da Vinci

Ally is addicted to baby da vinci. She watches it like 4-5 times a day. She points to the tv and crys for us to turn it on. She loves the puppets, she gets so excited when they come on. They blow kisses in one part, and she finally can blow a kiss because of the puppets. The movie is really cute it teaches them thier eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. Thank you to Natasha for leaving the video's here!

The puppets, and ally watching them. (I had to put this picture in, I thought she looked so cute with little pigtails!)

I do have to say that she also loves to read her books, over and over again!

Grape Juice

This weekend we bottled grape juice. It was a lot of work!! Aaron's whole family helped, picking the grapes off the vine, pulling them from the stems, juicing them, and processing! I don't know how I would have done it all by myself! Even with all the help I still ended up getting hurt. While pulling the grapes from the stems I got stung by a wasp, and then I burnt myself on the juicer.

So maybe the pictures don't look that bad, but it wasn't fun. But after all that hard work, and the wonderful help from my inlaws, we ended up with 39 bottles of grape juice, and I still have more to do tomorrow! The hard work really payed off!

We ended up with three different types of grape juice, white grape, mixed white & purple, and regular grape juice. We had never done white before and it turned out really good. That night Aaron's parents got us some pizza, thank goodness! Ally didn't want us to feed her, she wanted to hold her own piece, just like everyone else! What a mess, but it was a really fun and rewarding weekend!

Aaron's Birthday

Happy birthday sweetheart! Aaron turned 27 last wednesday, wow time flys! Ally and I are so greatful for Aaron! He is wonderful husband and father, and a great provider for our family! We are so blessed to have him in our lives! Aaron's family came over that night and we had some cake and ice cream, the cake was a hit, Cathy's susie-q cake, chocolate cake with a whipped cream/cream cheese filling! I think he had a great day, I hope, we love him so much!

Best Friends

Aaron's cousin Natasha and her cute little girl Azlyn stayed with us last week. Azlyn is a month younger than Ally, so a perfect little playmate, you would think. We learned that Ally has become very territorial to the things in our house. She was not very nice to Azlyn, the only child syndrome came out full fledge! There were some moments when Ally let her guard down and played with Azlyn. Natasha fortunatlly got those moments on camera! Those are the pictures in the slide show. All and all, we did have a great weekend, it was so much fun to have them stay with us! We stayed up late every night and watched fun movies like, what happens in vegas, and P.S. I Love You. It was great! We wish that they lived closer!

Tuesday morning

We had and exciting morning, well for us! I was trying to find a good zucchini bread recipe online, while ally was playing. Of course she found the already folded clothes in the laundry basket. I got a picture of her as she was diving head first in to the basket.

Ally decided that she needed to help me make the zucchini bread, so put her on the counter with me. She saw the flour I was using for the bread, and wanted some. I gave her a LITTLE bit in one of the pans, I emphasize little, I guess a little bit does go a long way! She liked it so much that she started eating it! SHe had a blast!
